1. Financial tools are not financial advice
- Not a lender, broker or adviser: DocNest does not lend money, arrange loans, collect payments, sell insurance or investment products, or act as a SEBI-registered investment adviser.
- Calculators are estimates: the EMI, loan prepayment, loan eligibility, FD/RD, savings, credit-card cost, financial-health and what-if tools are illustrations based on the numbers you enter and common formulas. Lenders and banks apply their own policies, fees and rounding.
- No recommendations or guarantees: savings allocations and scenarios are examples, not recommendations, and not guarantees of returns, approval or eligibility. Your decisions are your own.
2. Tax calculations are indicative
The income-tax tool uses the slabs and rules shown in the app for the stated financial year. It simplifies some rules, such as surcharge relief, set-offs and special incomes. Tax laws change every year. Confirm with the Income Tax Department (incometax.gov.in) or a chartered accountant before filing.
3. Health tools are not medical advice
- Reference tools only: BMI, BMR, calories, body fat, waist ratio, water, blood-pressure categories, heart-rate zones and sleep timing are general estimates for awareness. DocNest is not a medical device and does not diagnose, treat or prevent any condition.
- Medical documents are only organised: DocNest stores medical documents but never interprets them.
- Seek proper care: talk to a doctor about your health. In a medical emergency, call 108 or 112.
4. Emergency SOS
SOS helps you message the contacts you choose. It depends on your phone, battery, network, location services, SMS or WhatsApp, and on the recipients. It may not always work and is not a replacement for emergency services. In danger, call 112 directly.
5. Government information
DocNest is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or acting on behalf of any government entity. Document checklists, state-service and national-service links, emergency numbers and scheme names are general guidance. The links open the official government websites, which are the authoritative source. Requirements differ by state and change over time, so always confirm with the issuing authority.
6. Credit scores
DocNest is not a credit bureau and does not fetch your credit score. Scores you record are entered by you. Free credit reports are available from the RBI-licensed credit bureaus (TransUnion CIBIL, Experian, Equifax, CRIF High Mark) on their official websites. "CIBIL" is a trademark of TransUnion CIBIL Limited.
7. Fuel prices, rates and other data
Fuel prices, interest rates, tax slabs and similar values may be entered by you or updated from our configuration file. They may be out of date or differ from your local rates.
8. Ads and sponsored offers
Some Tools screens show small ads or offers marked "Ad" or "Sponsored". They are paid placements, not recommendations. Products and services from advertisers are provided by them under their own terms. DocNest is not responsible for third-party offers.
9. Third-party services and links
DocNest uses or links to third-party services such as Google Sign-In, Google Drive, Gmail, UPI apps, maps, government portals and bank or bureau websites. Their availability, accuracy and terms are their own.
10. Your data and backups
DocNest is a tool to organise your records. Keep important originals safe, and keep your phone and Google account secure. We are not liable for loss of data, missed reminders, or decisions made using the app's estimates, to the extent permitted by law.
11. Trademarks
Google, Google Play, Google Drive and Gmail are trademarks of Google LLC. Indus Appstore is a trademark of its owner. Aadhaar, DigiLocker and other government names belong to their respective authorities. Their use here is only to describe compatibility and does not imply endorsement.
